I usually get my shoes in Easy Sprirt, Naturalizer, Zappos or Macys ( the one in Herald Square has a 'comfort shoe' dept, that has wide widths), but in Macy's I usually end up with naturalizer shoes anyway.
From Zappos I ususally get Rockports & Hush puppies.
I feel so limited. There are so many cute things out there - the wide footed world is so oppressive!
Are there any other places to look or brands to look for?

Re: Wide footed women. . .where do you shop?
Unfortunatley Payless has the best wide shoes IMO. I also used to wear Parade before they went out of business.

OMG-- I was JUST complaining about this to DH today at lunch when we met up to go to DSW. I didn't see a THING that cam in wide!! The ONLY place I could shop for decent shoes was Parade and the bastards closed all the stores!!! They told me to go to Payless. (um, no thanks) SO I haven't bought shoes since November when Parade went OOB! I have no idea where to go now I have no idea what to do!
Venting... sorry

I feel Payless is very limited in selection & not very well made--I am hard on shoes. I used to shop there , but I want fancy grown up shoes!
I was so-so on Parade, I'd always look, but sometimes their shoes hurt me after awhile. I did get my wedding shoes there though.

In your honest opinion... are those shoes nice?? I've never been in Payless. I kind of refuse to go in there (I'm being a snob) but I just consider those shoes the lowest of the low & I can't stand Starr Jones!!

DSW is SO dissapointing. I have seen a few wides but never in my size or what I am looking for. Nothing compared to how many shoes they carry.
I actually prefer it for DH's shoes wow- so you 2 have fewer ideas that me ! Try the palces I suggested. the 34th street macy's is pretty good. It is a less crowded dept than the regular shoes dept.
Marty's has some Wides, but I can never find my size.

The Avenue has a line called Cloud walkers I believe.
They have cute shoes and in wide sizes.

I just bought 2 pairs of shoes from the Lerner catalog -- pink high heeled mules and fuschia heels with an ankle strap. Only 25 bucks each, too!

I'm not wide footed, but I actually noticed Marshall's has had a bunch lately because I grabbed a pair of cute Nine West boots that were wide and then a pair of New Balance sneakers that were also wide!

They are okay.....but its just that at this point I cant afford anything better! I dont like Starr Jones either, believe me...
Actually I do have some shoes from Nine West and Aerosoles and I have to buy a size bigger because I need the wideness. But they end up ripping on the sides anyway.

I bought my last pair of boots at Aerosoles and that's what I had to do... but a 91/2 when I am a 9.

That doesn't work for me expect sometimes with boots. I can't get my foot in. Aerosles shoud make WW. They are supposed to be comfort shoes. I swear I had a pair of WW from Aerosoles that I got in Marty's & then when I asked if they had a pair in WW in the Aerosoles store, the lady YELLED at me that they don't carry ww at ALL.
