I will have a couple of people at my wedding that I dont know... I will just grin and bear it....so dont worry you arent the only one.
I am in the EXACT same situation! Over half of the people there I would have never even met before. I'm a bit more concerned not with greeting them and thanking them for coming, but because a lot of them are OOT guests that I think my FMIL only invited so that we get gifts, not because they're really coming. I have to guarantee 140 people, and I have a small family and small circle of friends. In my case, I just don't want to pay for empty seats :(.
I will now almost everyone on both sides and the same goes for my FH.. we have been together for so long that i guess we just met all the people along the way... however since it will be quite a large wedding close to 350 guest we figure we would just wait until the very end and talk to everyone when they are coming to get theri favors. and not go around to tables thats just an idea but who knows it might change until then.
