Does anyone's diamond ever 'wiggle' around in their setting? My diamond feels loose! I can move it in a circle!!! This is not good! I am going to bring it to the jeweler tomorrow....kind of wierded out though. imagine if it fell out!!! ugh! g-d forbid.

that would be terrible. one time mine felt a little loose and we brought it right to the jeweler. i think it feel a little tiny bit loose now so i will be making a trip very soon. they say you should go have it tightened 2x a year!

I got engaged three weeks ago!! That's the wierd part - why did it get loose already?!?! Eek. THanks for the advice

Put it in something safe & bring it to the jeweler ASAP!!! Don't wear it until it's fixed.

Does this ever happen to you too? I'm nervous to tell FH - he'll freak out - think it's his fault, my fault, it's not worth it! I'll take care of it tomorrow. Unfortunately the jewelers on 47th street were closed today....eek. It's off in a box - thank you so much!!

I once dropped my ring on the bathroom floor and after that I was able to wiggle it. I brought it to the jeweler the next day and he fixed in with no problems.

I was thinking maybe it's because I have a large round stone with four prongs - maybe I should have six prongs to make it more secure ?!

I got engaged 5/28/04 and am paraniod that I'm going to loose my diamond setting. So far it's still tightly secured in the setting. Each time I have my ring on I'm always looking and checking it...just to make sure it's not loose or that it didnt fall out. Very, Very paranoid.

I got engaged in March and my diamond is snug as a bug in the setting.. My ring is set low, so that might have something to do with it.. It's also an antique setting- so, built to last maybe!
I would hit up the jewlers asap though- not like you needed someone else to tell you that here.

This happened to me and I thought it was normal. Well FH made me take it back to the jeweler and it turned out it was too loose and they tightened it for me. The jeweler told me if it is loose at all it needs to be tightened.

While I would die if anything ever happened to my ring, I insured it, so I don't worry about it.
The insurance was relatively cheap too! Worth the peace of mind!!!!!
