Re: wii fit
I have it and honestly the only things that make me feel like I'm losing any weight are some of the strength exercises and the boxing. It's fun but I wouldn't count on that as your only way to try to lose weight.

you won't lose weight from it unless you are eating healthy and doing it every day for like an hour.

ITA with this. I bought the EA Active as a booster for working out, and it helped too for a while. Then..nothing.

Re: wii fit
i have the Wii EA Sports Active More Workouts which uses the balance board ... it really works - i've lost about 10 pounds so far (in about a year)
the Wii Fit is just ok ... i use it when i'm feeling lazy

I like it for fun but none of the workouts really do much for me---if you have Time Warner Cable, try exercise on demand channels (Cablevision may also have this)--I love some of the videos and do before work with FH!
