Wild Chance...St. Agnes RVC

Anyone have a pic of the ceiling???

NO, sorry, but I can tell you anything you want to know about the church. The ceiling is the one major drawback to the cathedral. It's gross, it's very 60's 70's Brady Bunch, but really you don't end up seeing it in the pictures at all. It's alternating square blocks of color in red, blue, etc. (weird and not in keeping with the rest of the decor at all).

yeah.... that's what i heard. i don't remember - the last time i was in there i was too young to think about weddings.

i heard the fee was high, yes?

It's known as the 'Rubix Cube' ceiling in the RVC community (I grew up there)

That's hilarious! That's a perfect description of it. The fee is not high compared with other catholic churches. It's average. It's $250 for the church and $250 for the music (organist and cantor)

just a thought but if you are looking in the area, st. christopher's church in baldwin is beautiful!!!

St. Anthony's in Oceanside is also a really beautiful church, but neither is the Cathedral. There is something really special about it. I will tell you this though, if the ceiling bothers you. When we made our arrangements St. Anges also offered us the use of the chapel instead if we wanted. It's also spectacular. Totally different though. Very very intimate and much smaller. It's where the nuns used to take their vows. It seats like 70 adults. That was too small for us. But we absolutely loved it. It's so cozy and really neat. You feel like the place is all yours.
