Will I have enough time for the bridesmaid dresses?
Okay, here is the situation. My sister (MOH), will be out of the country until May starting this Monday. We will be going to a few places to look tomorrow in the city. My question is, if (God forbid) we don't find one for her tomorrow is it safe to wait until May? I am getting married in Sept. I have a few other bridesmaids to look with me while she is gone so that is not the problem, I just want to make sure I order my sister's because she will be gone so long!!! I am still not sure about the length of time when ordering to be on the safe side. Any opinions??? I feel totally rushed but there is nothing I can do about it!!!

One of my bridesmaids just had a baby and they told me the latest she can come in to order a dress would be April. My wedding is in November. They told me to be safe they would suggest her come in NO later then the first week in May. And that was pushing it. It may depend on the manufacturer or the store. I think a dress can be rushed but there is an extra fee. Good Luck!!

When you are looking at dresses tomorrow...why don't you get your sister's measurements. This way...if you find a dress while your sister is away...you can order hers along with the other BM's. Then...you won't have to stress about whehter you left enough time.

Thanks for all the responses!!! Luvsun27, that is a great idea!!! I am definitely going to get her measurements tomorrow!!! Can't believe I didn't think of that one!!!
