Will someone pleeeeeeaaaase invent...

a material to make the heels for my shoes last longer!!! I've had these boots for about 3 weeks and I can already see the metal pin through the bottom of the heel and it makes so much noise when I walk up the escalator, it drives me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!

YES!! I was JUST b!tching about this to Darren last night. I have been looking for something to nail on!
As a fix, I think I am going to buy the rubber that you would use for a stamp and try to cut it down and glue it on.
Only problem is that it will be red
But I would rather take the red then the clicking...adn the pin part gets caught on some carpets.

seriously, where's NASA when we need them...


I have the same problem.

This happens to mine and I bring them to a shoe repairman to replace the back bottom heel piece. The piece the shoe repairman puts on last forever! Why can't the company that makes the boots put a piece like that that lasts?

My J Crew boots came with extras of that little piece. I am sure a shoe repair would have them.

Also, write a letter to the manufacturer, maybe they will send you some.

I could totally go to the shoemaker and get them...it's just the principle of the thing, though...they just need to start making shoes that don't wear out so quickly!!!

At least it all explains where the 'sneakers with your business suit' look came from. It was born out of sheer frustration!!!

Weird question, how do you walk? Do you step more with your heel than your toe? This could be the issue. I used to walk very strongly from heel to toe and messed up the heels of a pair of shoes so badly that they looked lopsided.
