We're definitely going to attend!! We'll spend some alone time in the bridal suite but then we're going out to party. I want to start saying hello to everyone and also enjoy the food.
ETA- we're still going to be introduced during the reception.

We're doing the same exact thing! We are having alot of guests and want to be sure we don't miss 1 person to thank for coming to our wedding. Of course, we want to enjoy the food but will also spend some time in the suite as well. Then it's time for our grand introduction!

We are spending the rest of our lives together, so I want us to be with our friends and family for that 5 hours. We don't need a grand entrance! My grand entrace is when they open the doors of the church and I walk down the isle. Also, we want to enjoy the food, and they don't give you everything you want in the bridal suite. The more you mingle at the cocktail hour, the more time you have at the reception. I guess this is JMO.
For people not attending, don't take this the wrong way. You always make a grand entrance when you enter the reception if you have been at the CH or not. Everyone is always excited to see the Bride and Groom walk in.
I say enjoy your time you have, you have spend so much money on this one day.

We are paying so we are going to try and make it for as long as possible! We are also going to try and get the hellos out of the way then!![]()

once i saw this really great method... the bride and groom were seated in the cocktail hour before all the guests were allowed in. they were eating and had probably gotten a chance to sample a lot. As the guests came in, they were able to say hello to a lot and got that portion out of the way. I really liked that.
we are going to be taking photos in the FT's bottom floor and the hopefully escaping to the bridal suite before the cocktail hour. i hope to eat then since the FT brings all the food up.
I know FH wants to go to the cocktail hour, so I think I may join half way through and say hi to as many people as possible.
I won't be going to the CH to eat, rather just say hello to the guests. I think FH has different ideas...![]()
