Yes! In Ireland it is customary to invite the priest to the wedding as he says grace before the dinner!

If i was having the ceremony at the reception site I would, but since the ceremony is in manhattan and the reception in LI we're not.

Yes, my uncle will be marrying me at my church.

JazzyT, if you have a relationship with your officiant or a member of his or her church, you should invite them and their spouse.

I think you should invite them. If there not someone you know well, they probably won't come, but you should still give them a courtsey invite IMO.

Of course my parents good friend will be marrying us, so he'll be invited.

absolutely. the deacon & priest marrying us ran the youth group FI & I were in in HS.. we 'grew up' in front of them.. they are *very* special people in our lives
