Re: Will you still be working?
While I make time off when I first have children, I don't ever plan on just giving it all up. I worked too hard in my career and in school to just quit.

Actually I'll start graduate school in the Fall so I am quitting before I get married, but I will continue to work some where P/T. My fiance is going to support me for the next 3 years and then I am going to work. I'll probably continue to work after we have children.
I can't imagine ever not working. I have put in a lot of time to get where I am now in my company. I see myself slowing down at some point though. Right now I ususally don't get home until 7 pm or later and I can't think I will like that when I have kids. I think my FI wouldn't mind staying home though I know I would be jealous! I know it will be a tough decision because so much of my definition of self is tied into my job.
As much as I say I'd love to be a stay at home mom and a 'kept' housewife, I've worked very hard for my Master's degree and to get to where I am in my career and I don't know how easily I could give it up completely. WOW! That sounds so shallow...
DITTO! I plan to be a SAHM (even after getting really far in my career and getting my masters) and hope to be able to do so until my children are old enough to go to school.
Sorry, nope. We need to have dual income to pay our bills, mortgage and post-wedding expenses. We're not rich and need to keep working.
