Re: Will you still celebrate?

In April we'll be hitting our ten year dating anniversary. That seems worth acknowledging! In future years I could see it as something that makes us smile on the day of, but not that we would give gifts or anything elaborate...

We're going to celebrate ours this year since it'll be 10 years but after that..we'll just celebrate our wedding anniversary!

Re: Will you still celebrate?

Good question....we celebrate our dating anniversary (4/29/00) every month-lol on the 29th of each month we @ least say happy anniversary lol if that is considered celebrating! we have problems lol everyone makes fun of us!

but I think it will always be a special day-4/29/00-but the wedding day will take precedence-

Our 10 yr will be on 6/18/03.

We will celebrate, because it is a big deal, but after we are married we will acknowledge it only.

Re: Will you still celebrate?

I wanted our dating annoversary to be our wedding anniversary but since I am a CPA, I can't get off of work and work 6 days a week arounf February 15th. But I will still celebrate it because we have been dating for 10 years, and I don't want to go back to zero!

Re: Will you still celebrate?

We don't have a dating anniversary. For some reason, I have never kept track of that sort of thing. I do remember the date we met, but only becuase it was when the Yankees won the World Series in 1996. You know what, I am lying. I must just remember the date that we met, becuase I just realized that I don't know the date the Yankees won in 1998, 1999 or 2000.

Sorry to beat around the bush - no, we will not celebrate a dating anniversary when we get married.

Since we met at the San Gennaro Feast, we celebrate every year by going there either on that date or somewhere near it!! I make him walk down the block to the exact spot we started talking!! How corny am I?!!

Re: Will you still celebrate?

I didn't keep track of when our first date was because it was a blind date, I had been going out on a lot of them with many different people, and I thought the date was gonna blow just like the rest.
