Most of you know what my name will be after the wedding...

it's so.... AMERICAN!

People might actually be able to pronounce my name now.. that'll be WEIRD! My whole life ive had to translate italian-english.

Hey Jiffy, watch it girl, I am a Smith. I love my name but I love my new name also. FH is always refered to as his full name, by all of his friends, me, my family, everyone! So now that I will take it my mom says ' do we have to call you by your full name all of the time now?'

My mom is so cute.

my maiden name was Ferguson, married name is Duffy

similiar in the irish respect, I like my maiden name better though

I love what my new last name will be....it's actually very similar to my maiden name.

not really...its Polish but much shorter then my long Italian last name that nobody can pronounce.

I'm with you girl!! I'm going to be a Johnson!!! My last name now is german, I feel like I'm going to be so generic (no offense to anyone with this name!)...but the one nice thing is I won't have to spell out my last name anymore!

I've got a long Itailan last name now that people never pronounce or spell right, and then I'll be going to O'Reilly- I like the name and it will sound good, but I know people are still not going to be able to spell it right!

I like the way my new name sounds, but I will miss my old one- I'm so used to it!

I like my FH last name. Mine is strange and impossible to pronounce. No one has ever pronounced it correctly my entire life. Not even my mom! I don't even think I'm pronouncing it correctly! and my dad eventually began pronouncing it incorrectly because nobody ever gets it right! With that said, I'm still going to miss my last name so I decided to make it my middle name because I don't have one.

my last name is so going to be so common but its sounds so nice with my first name. I cant wait to get rid of my last name it has taunted me my whole life and no one can pronounce it.

Yeah my new last name is very common too, but I also like it with my first name. My current last name is hard to pronounce too and people are always like 'what is that nationality'

I love my last name.
It is part of who I am. My culture. It is very important to me b/c my father passed away when I was 15 so I feel like I would like to Hold onto it as long as I can.
I was thinking about hyphenating it. But my name is so short and his is pretty long.
He gets UPSET b/c he wants me to take his name.
Still Torn not sure what to do????

I will have such and Italian last name with such and Irish first name. I guess I will get used to it...lol.

It's weird and difficult to pronounce for most people. Not looking forward to it but I want to have the same last name as our kids (when we have them).
