I went out yesterday and bought a beautiful iron rod and a very nice scarf valance, but I have no idea how to make it look neat once it is up. Any suggestions for those of you that have done this?

Our window treatment in the old apartment looked something like this. It just takes a little patience to get the scarf to hang just so.
We're still trying to figure out how to finish the windows in our new home...

You can always get a catalogue from JC Penny to give you ideas. Like ss2002, you have to play with it and be patient. It took me a whole hour to fix the window treatment in my bedroom, because I didnt like the way it hung.
