Well we have finally finished one part of the house Here is the dining room and the living room-- Notice to the right of the couch you can see the DR treatment--- the plaids are coordinating fabrics-- Also note that we had 2 different envelope pillows made--- I am so happy with how it all turned out Now on to picking out fabric for our bedroom Would love suggestions on colors--- we are going to do pleated roman shades on these windows--Any ideas on colors/patterns? Laura
Thanks everyone Olga- yes paint and furniture are new--ideas? Erica--my Mom is in the business so yes they are custom-- we 'designed' them--and the best part is we only paid for fabric-- so each window only cost about $225 or so-- Any suggestions on the bedroom? Would love to finish our bedroom so that when it comes time for a nursery we will be ready to work on that !!! Laura

Re: Window Treatments
Laura - did you get the curtains from Fortunoff? I saw your dining room panels there and liked them a whole lot.
It all looks very nice!
Edited to say I just read one of your later posts and see that you made them. Very nice - I did see that patter in panels though - at 85+ per panel. 225 is a great deal! Kudos to you!

Re: Window Treatments
I'm in the middle of picking out my window treatments. I really like the silouhettes, but they are very pricey. Anyone know where I can get a great deal on them. I'm also inbetween verticals and wood blinds. What style window treatments are in right now?? I'm kinda thinking that verticlas are being outdated.

Re: Window Treatments
I LOVED silouhettes but Hunter Douglas is very strict on who can sell them so NO discounts that I have ever been able to find. Also- if the sheer even tears a bit inbetween you are $crewed. You cannot fix them at all. Since I have a cat all I could picture is a claw mark. Or with the baby coming...a peanut butter stain...or something like that. I have verticals on my sliders since we face the neighbors and Scott insisted on them. I would rather have had nice curtains but he never asks for anything so....
I have the faux wood Hunter Douglas blinds on my other windows and love them.

Re: Window Treatments
Michele-- did you know you could have put the hunter Douglas on your sliders as well instead of the verticals? that is what we have although I think the only time i put them down is when we are on vacation or for the picture I took aboce-- we live in the boonies- no one can see in except of course for the bears and deer

Re: Window Treatments
Mchele we were also looking at the faux Hunter wood blinds for our windows. We just had a slider installed in our kitchen too. I think we're also going to do verticals on the slider as well.

Re: Window Treatments
LOVE the window treatments! Lucky you to have a mom in the business. Something like that would be $$$. Hence why we've been here for almost 6 months and we still don't have the windows done in the living room or dining room
