My favorite wine is reisling, but I'll take a glass of sparkling wine/champagne over regular wine any day!!!

My friends and I make any occasion into a champ-occasion. LOL We've made basically any special day into champagne day. Over the last few years, my favorites have been (in no particular order): Champ-o de mayo, Election Day champagne, any birthday, In-champ-endence Day. We're ridiculous, I know.

Love it! Especially in-champ-endence day

Wine

FH and I are huge winos, weare actually snobs lol. no seriously we only drink out of our expensive crystal glasses that are made for specific wines.
our fav's are centine by banfi, ecco domani cab/merlot mix, il frappato.
I think you should start with a red zinfandel they are light and tend to me on the sweet side with still being a tiny bit dry.

Wine

Ugh I hate/love this post since I gave up wine for Lent. Can we say torture?!?!

I'm a HUGE wino. So us FH and all our friends. Every fall i rent a 14 passenger van we take a huge trip out to the vineyards ...and my dad drives! This is when we'stock up'. Lol

I love all red wine...even in the summer. My favorites are Shiraz and Malbec but my new fav is Cabernet Sauvignon . And to think I was throwing back Whit Zin in college haha

Wine

For all of my fellow wine-os, we registered for all reidel wine glasses. We found ones online that we loved called Reidel XL. They're 33 ounce wine glasses. I know this is more for the 'tasting' but I'll take ANY glass that I can fit a whole bottle of wine into! Check them out. When we got them for Christmas we were so excited!!

Wine

Also a huge wine drinker (FH drinks what I say is good!) and while I love white wine (sav blanc try Kim Crawford and pinot grigio, I agree w/ the ladies above on the Santa Margarita) and I'm purely on Rose during the summer, I'm a red lover. Malbec and Cab Sav are my go to wines, I like a medium to full on the dry side. Try the Tilia Malbec or Liberty Cab. If you're out at the vineyards go to Shinn Estate for whites, Croteaux for rose and Jamesport for reds. I also love Macari they have a red called Sette for $19 that's amazing and while I don't trend towards Merlot, they have a Collina that is delicious.

Wine

We are winos me more than fh cause I tend to not stop till the bottle is finished lol.

Love going to the vineyards we go every season sometimes a few times. I love palmers they are one of my favorites, one reason is the winery cats that live there, they have great wine. We were just there a week ago and I picked up a 2011 special edition wine it was a white wine smelled like fruit loops and was delicious. But they also carry this amazing goat cheese if you like cheese and crackers with your wine. Amazing. I also really like Bedell vineyard their taste and gallery in white are really good and taste in red i really good.

We are both pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauignon, pinot noir, and some merlots.

If you want to get into reds and reds are an aquired taste and you have to find the taste that appeals to you just as you do whites. I would really recommend going to wineries and doing red flights and note which types you seem to like you will be suprised that your white taste and red taste are always the same.
