Wine bottle favor

Wine bottle favor

Is anyone doing this, or know someone who is/did? I've been looking for some wines that are on the cheaper side, but still good! Anybody have suggestions? I found Pindar at $7-$8 per bottle (we would give one bottle per couple/family), but I'm wondering if there are other options... should I just call some wineries and ask if they give bulk discounts??

have you asked the liquor store if you buy a large amount how much they will sell it to you for? If you buy a larger quantity they will give it to you for less. I paid $4.50 a bottle for the 750ml size so the big ones, and the guy gave me a deal on the price since i bought a large quantity. Go to a couple of local liquor stores and see who will give you the best price, thats what i did and i went with the one who worked with me the most. Others also lowered the price per bottle but this one place gave me a better price

No, but I will def do that. We started throwing this idea around over the weekend so I haven't looked into it that much yet. We just thought of Pindar because it's a piece of LI that guests can take home w/ them. But if I can find something around $5/bottle that would be awesome! Thanks!

Yeah definitely ask them, the bottles i bought cost more if you bought it individually or just 2 or something. The guy gave it to me for less since we bought a couple of cases and most will do this.

Trader Joe's in the city and New Jersey sells this wine called Charles Shaw, which is aka 'Two Buck Chuck'. I believe it costs $3.00 (it used to cost $2, hence the name Two Buck Chuck). The wine is really, really good. My dad always buys case loads of it when we're in Jersey. The Trader Joe's here on Long Island don't sell it because I heard it supposedly has something to do with a law that doesn't allow them to sell it because of the type of store they are. The one in the city sells it because I think they found some sort of loophole in the law, and I believe the wine part is set up in another store which is right next to Trader Joe's. Everyone who has had this wine always talks about how great it is, so I'd recommend checking it out!

I would check out Cappy's in Valley Stream - they have a large assortment of wines in diffrent price ranges and when we did our wine bottle favors (see pics in my album) we paid $3.75 per bottle for what is normally a $4.50 wine-if you need more details feel free to FM me.
