K, so we bought 120 wine bottles and are putting on our own labels, the only thing is that the original wine labels are not peeling off right, they are sticking. I bought GOOGone, which I heard was great for removing label, but it's not working right. What did u ladies use to remove the wine labels?

Re: Wine Bottles
I soaked them in the bath tub over night....then in the morning i peeled the label offf but some of the glue stayed on...so i took a brillo pad and while running it under hot water scrubbed the bottle...came off...fairly easy...good luck!!

I was thinking of doing wine also as the favor. Are you doing mini's or full bottles. If you don't mind me asking how much per bottle?

ACETONE NAIL POLISH REMOVER!!!!!!! I use it any time I need to remove a label or sticker off of glass. Use with a straight edge razor.

GooGone does work awesome, but I find you have to soak a papertowel with it, and then let the soaked towel sit on top of the label for about 10 mins and it will slide right off.....you can reuse the paper towel a few times before adding more googone.....otherwise what about putting the new labels right on top? or are the smaller than the label you have?
