Wine favor location

Original post by cdh2672

Do u think it will look silly to keep the wine favors on a separate table for guests to grab on the way out? I feel like it would be too crowded to keep them on the tables at each place setting ..... with round tables and wine bottle centerpieces already there.....thoughts?

I'm doing wine bottle favors as well, and I agree that I didn't want a bottle on the table all night. We're going to have the waiters bring them out during dessert so people don't miss them on the way out. And if people leave before dessert screw em! (Its a day wedding so no excuses!)

If you want to do them on the way out, put a little sign in a pic frame that says something like Family and friends, thank you for sharing our day with us, enjoy a bottle of your choice, please take one per couple so all can enjoy'

I got the wine at Trader Joes in Westfield, NJ (my sister lives near there). It was the Charles Shaw wine, and it was $3 per bottle. They are always in stock, they had tons! Already in the cases ....We picked the Cabernet b/c we liked that one best.

The Trader Joe's on LI do not sell wine, just the one in Union Square, NYC and one in Jersey! It's crazy, but I also heard that you maybe able to negotiate w/ a local liquor store if you buy in bulk.

This sounds great... are they full bottles??

i know i am a little late in responding to this post but i just saw it...

We did full wine bottles as our favors. our RH set them up on a seperate table by our sweetheart table so when our guests came to say goodbye to us we handed each couple a bottle. We had labels made through VistaPrint for minimal $$ and put them on each bottle (a little tedious but well worth the time)

We got the bottles at a liquor store by our house in Island Park and did get a small discount becuase we ordered them in bulk. We did all red wine and the labels had our names, and wedding date in addition to this saying...

'Thank you for sharing our special day, so please enjoy this bottle of red for being with us on the day we wed.'

i think in total the wine came out to $2.99 a bottle and it was one per couple.

MY SISTER DID WINE FAVORS. HER VENUE KEPT THEM IN A BOZ AND AT THE END OF THE NIGHT SOMEONE WORKING AT YOUR VENUE WILL PASS THEM OUT TO YOUR GUESTS. THIS WAY YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHERE TO PUT THEM AND WORRY IF ITS GOING TO LOOK CLUTTERED.
