Do u think it will look silly to keep the wine favors on a separate table for guests to grab on the way out? I feel like it would be too crowded to keep them on the tables at each place setting ..... with round tables and wine bottle centerpieces already there.....thoughts?

I think that would be a great idea.

Re: Wine favor location
agree...ours are going to be on a completely different table, even though they're not as big as wine bottles, the table would get cluttered quickly.

Yeah... I am doing champagne bottles (wedding is 2 days before new years). Was going to do only 1 per couple. How do they know to take only one??

Maybe have the dj make an announcement

Re: Wine favor location
You could turn them into escort cards (if you were planning on doing couples on the escort cards) this way they pick them up at that point. They'd probably put them in their bags or something.

Using them as escort cards is a really cute idea. Or, at the end of the night, having them on the same table that the escort cards were on & having the DJ make the announcement. Either way should work.

Re: Wine favor location
I would do them at a separate table, and have displayed througout the night wth the couple's names on them. that way its not so croweded at the end of the night when they are all trying to leave.
I knwo its a little bit of extra work but its a nice personal touich and people will appreciate it

This is a good idea! I was trying to figure out how to give one per couple/family nicely.
Anyone have a nice template for this?

If you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase the wine from? About how much per bottle was it? Thanks!!

Re: Wine favor location
I got the wine at Trader Joes in Westfield, NJ (my sister lives near there). It was the Charles Shaw wine, and it was $3 per bottle. They are always in stock, they had tons! Already in the cases ....We picked the Cabernet b/c we liked that one best.
The Trader Joe's on LI do not sell wine, just the one in Union Square, NYC and one in Jersey! It's crazy, but I also heard that you maybe able to negotiate w/ a local liquor store if you buy in bulk.

Re: Wine favor location
We had our wine bottle favors on a separate table for guests to take on the way out. It was the escort card table for guests on the way in and then the BM switched it later on, and set up the wine. We did one bottle per person and had someone from the RH there to tell guests to take one each - becasue most of them thought one per couple.
(BTW, for anyone looking for a more local place to buy it, we got our wine at Bottles & Cases in Huntington - 3 for $10, plus a small vloume discount off that)
