Wine Favors...CONFUSED!

Original post by Lindseyenglish4

I'm getting full size bottles of Red wine for my wedding favors. I was going to get enough bottles for each guest at my wedding but a few people are telling me I'm crazy and I should only get one bottle per couple...Financially, this would be great..but the problem is I'm nervous that people might take more than 1 and not everyone will get a favor. Someone had the idea of having someone working at my venue distribute them to each couple as they leave but I wanted them to be displayed. Also, I have a lot of Singles as guests and I thought that would become confusing...Is it crazy to purchase enough bottles for each guest?...They deffinitely will not go to waste if there are many extras!

How about having some sort of sign on the favor table for 'one per couple' (maybe make it creative) or just providing one small wine bottle per person? I like the idea of making them place cards, but then the guests have to carry them around throughout cocktail hour. Not that big of a deal, but something to think about.

My sister did this for her wedding. Basically we give one factor per envelope or gift. It usually comes out to about 1 per family or couple. For 185 people we ordered 90 bottles of wine so that we would have extra just in case. I'm Greek so Ive only really been to Greek weddings. There is a table where are the favors are set up. Typically guests say their goodbyes at the end of the night and hand the couple their gift. The bride or groom then distributes the favor as a thank you at this time. You can have someone from your bp or MOH man the favor table for you so no one double fists
