i prefer champagne over wine.. also people are so picky about wine.

I'm a wine-lover - all types including sparklers - and since a 'decent' bottle of sparkling wine will inevitably cost more than a decent bottle of red or white, I'd opt for the wine due to the cost considerations (and what you get for your $$).

I am doing chamagne because I kind of think of my wedding as a celebration, I want to do chamagne.

A lot of people prefer wine. I would go with the wine.

I agree. I would try to get the better quality wine given your budget allowances.
