winery wedding

Is there anyone who has planned a wedding at one of Long Island wineries? If so, where would you recommend, what are the fees/prices, and what does that include. I love Wolffer Estates, but think its pricey. I only have about 60 guests and want to get married this summer.

Not doing a winery wedding but most include a HUGE rental fee, close to or more than $10,000 and that doesn't often include anything besides the physical space.

Originally wanted a winery wedding for myself, but the cost was way too much. It's a huge rental fee and it doesn't even include the wine! I thought that was nuts! If you get a smaller place and it's only 60 people maybe it won't be too bad?? Best of luck. Hope it all works out!

We originally wanted a vineyard wedding but the site fees are outrageous at all of them and includes NOTHING other than getting the space for the day. You are also, I believe, limited to using their caterer. But how beautiful must a wedding be there!

Site fees can be anywhere from$3-10k! Then you are required to buy x amount of wine then you have to get an off prem caterer and you can't have liquor only beer and that vineyards wine. Then staff rental, equipment. You looking at close to $20,000

Re: winery wedding

I had my reception at Raphael Winery/Vineyard. It was absolutely amazing there. Looking back at my pictures, brings back memories, so happy we had it there, wish the day was longer, even though it was an ALL DAY event. There is only one wedding per day.

It is very expensive though! There is a site fee and then there is catering/drink. No outside caterer, their's is part of the vineyard. All types of drinks/ top shelf liquors, EXCEPT for frozen drinks like strawberry daiquiris, pina colada etc.

Email them and they will give the details. If only 60, it might be too small but you might have to have it on a Friday but I am not sure.

palmer is small and only has a 2500 site fee (this is from a couple years ago). most of them have 'planners' that can help you find tables, caterers, etc. some have 'approved' caterers.

vineyard caterers seems to offer the best of both worlds (they do everything like a catering hall, it's on a vineyard)- approx $85-120 pp

you may also want to try martha clara-- pretty sure they are connected with someone or other to do 'all the work'

My friend got married there nod it was great! Food was wonderful:)

Martha Clara has a list of about 6 caterers and depending on what time of year and what location site fees are around $4,000

I agree with the vineyard caterers. They have wonderful food and you really feel like you're at a vineyard.

We really liked Warwick valley Winery, but it was too small for our 150 person wedding. It can hold I think 85. Plus they make really good wine cider and fruit flavored liqour to be served
