LOL i posted a few days ago about how i hate the name change too! it sounds ghetto to me.....ugh......why'd they have to go and change names for? hopefully the new mgmt is just as good as the wingate or maybe even better b/c i am probably going to book there as well.....we are getting married next december - when should we start looking at hotels? we are going to stay the night before with our immediate families and then the night of the wedding along with quite a few of our guests - so we need to find a nice place, reasonable rate, and a shuttle....

me and mendi 725 are booked there and we are going there on tuesday to look at the new color they painted it. My mom stayed at a La Quinta down south and she said it was very nice. I am not too concerned, I just want my contract to be updated to the new name, thats also why we are going

OK... so I stopped by today to check it out- here's a pic of the new La Quinta Inn. Not as bad as I thought. It was a nicer color before - just white- but still looks new & the orange is not super bright. The inside looks the same (more of a cute / boutique hotel feel). There were several weddings going on and we got there around 6PM so we really couldn't take pics inside and all the suites were booked for bride & grooms for the evening. Hopefully the girls going during the week can take some pics of the suites ;) I feel comfortable that it looks like the only things 'changed' from an appearance is the name & some paint. Oh, I did have them check my reservation for FH & I and they had to go in the back and look in the 'Wingate' system. Kind of a pain and I hope they can transfer them all over by my date... Good idea JTEACH to go and get a new contract under La Quinta. Please keep us posted....

i'd like to see those pics too. Me and my moh stopped there one night and it looked gorgeous.. there was a bride staying there and she said the service was wonderful..and this was post management change.. she said the bridal suite was huge and everything was great. I'm looking at booking there and most of my bridal party will probably stay too.
does anyone know if they keep the bar open for after parties???

i think u can def. go soon to look. i think by ure 1 year mark is good.. but then again i'm sure there are girls out there that have a better answer for you...lol
i'm just about at my 1 year mark and im gonna call and try to go see the rooms next month. i don't have a lot of out of towners... but the bridal party is gonna stay there.. so we may need like 10 rooms.. so i def. wanna make sure they can hold them.
