HI, Not sure if we are having candles at the reception. The cocktail hour will be 4:30-5:30 so we aren't having them for that. WCC does provide the placecards-I guess you should pick them up when you pick out the menu (unless you want to do them yourselves). I've decided to just use what they give me. I did my wedding programs on Microsoft Publisher yesterday and they came out great. I figured I would include them since it's an interfaith ceremony and I gave explanations to some of the traditions (chuppah, breaking of glass, etc). Did you make an appt for the night you pick out the menu? Did your dress come in yet? Do you know where you are getting your tuxes? Thanks!:-)

I guess i'll use the ones WCC will give me. How do they look like, are they nice? We haven't set a date to pick out the menu, did u? I guess it's still early to do that since our weddings on June 23rd. So you'll be giving out wedding programs to your guests? Is it gonna be a long ceremony you are doing? I have my dress but haven't taken it in for alterations. The place where i'm getting the bridesmaids dresses suggest for me to come like early May. My FH and the groomsmens picked out a place in manhattan that they are renting tuxes from. Are you having the guest throw you and your soon-to-be husband petals/seeds after the ceremony is over? Since the ceremony and reception is at the same location I think i'm just gonna have my flowergirls throw petals on the side of the aisle before I walk down. What do you think of that? Alittle over 3months away for the big day and I'm not nervous yet. I just can't wait for it to be over so we could go on our honeymoon. Have you booked your honeymoon yet? talk to you soon!:)

HI! We booked a Las Vegas Honeymoon vacation for after the wedding and I'm in the process of researching cruises for a week in August. Any ideas? We're looking into the Bermuda cruise out of NYC. Where are you going on your honeymoon?? I don't have a flowergirl :-( I'm going to have petals down the isle that the florist will provide. I was thinking about having bubbles instead of bird seed since I'm having a handful of young children-not sure yet. There's always Frank the Dove man. I'm afraid (with my luck) that a bird would poop on me. I've read great things on the board about Frank, though. I haven't seen the seating cards yet. I decided to use all roses for the reception...how about you??

Oh, We love Las Vegas. We've been there 4 times and everytime we go it gets harder to leave. Where are you staying because there are so many places to choose from and also to eat. We hardly sleep when we go there (due to gambling, sightseeing, and clubbing). There drive to Las Angeles isn't too far either. It took my FH 3hours to drive there. We spent a day there to shop at Beverly Hills. We just got our plane tickets for Bali,Indonesia and Hong Kong. We are still in contact with a travel agent based in Bali to help us with the accommodations. We are taking a 3 week honeymoon away from New York just to enjoy being married and also to relax after planning this wedding. I've never heard of Frank the dove man. It's a great idea to release doves after you get married. Our friend released butterflies for her wedding. Becareful of the bubbles because I read on this site that some girls have got their wedding dress stained from it. I know that flowers might do that too but as long as you don't step on them I don't think it'll be a problem. I haven't been to a florist yet and i'm actually not sure what I want. Having lots of roses is one option because I love the smell of roses. I would have to see the samples that they will show me to get ideas. I am gonna meet Mike from Burton's next week if I could get an appointment with him. So he'll be the first florist we are gonna meet. I've heard great things about him and the flowers. so i'm excited.

WOW! Your honeymoon sounds amazing. I can't wait to hear about it. That's really different. We also love Vegas and have been there three times the past 2 years. I looked into the Bermuda cruise last night-so we might do that in Aug, too. (MY fiance can't take 2 weeks in a row :-( You're right about the bubbles-maybe we won't do them-don't want my dress to stain. Good luck with the florist-if you are convenient to W. Nassau County, I would recommend Kelly (she's also a friend of my friend).

One more question, What happens if it rains that day, did they tell you where you can have your ceremony and cocktail hour? It never came up until last night when I was speaking to my sister. We are praying for a beautiful June day but mother nature has it's reasons.

If it rains, they will transform your reception room to the ceremony. Just make sure your florist has a backup (for example, I needed to make sure the florist had an arch with flowers to use as the chuppah instead of having the gazebo). You also might want to use some of your table centerpieces for the ceremony, too. As for the cocktail hour, the room will be tight for all our guests if it rains-no option to use the outside area. I forgot, when are your invitations going out??

That would be aweful if it rains. I''m having around 275 and it will be horrible to have them all inside during the whole entire affair. So is your florist going to make you a arch for that day just incase and also charged you for it? I had my mom go to a fortune teller and forsee if that is a good day and she said 'yes, it is a good day for marriage.' So i hope it also means great weather. We are gonna be picking our invites next week and then addressing them ourselves with our printer. So we''ll probably have them out the 2nd week of April so they can RSVP by mid May. Did you book a Rev,Rabbi,or a Judge yet? I haven''t and have to start looking soon.Welcome New Vendors
