I'm getting married under the gazebo on the lake at WCC. You can use your own florist as long as the florist stays throughout the ceremony to clean up afterwards. That's what they insist on (and that they are insured). So, Kelly will get there at 1:00 (for the pictures) and stay until 4:30 when the ceremony is over to be able to clean up the gazebo area. I did get my invites, just got the envelopes printed this week. I'm thinking of sending them out the first week of April (I have a JUNE 1 RSVP date). I'll go to WCC in May to pick out the menu........only 3 1/2 more months!

My sister is getting married there in Oct. and her bestfriend (and BM)'s husband is a florist. She is not having the ceremony there, but do you know the specifics for nonhouse florists and the reception??

If you are using one of the florists not on their list, the florist just has to stay until after the ceremony to clean up! If you aren't having the ceremony there, I don't think anything is different-the florist just has to have insurance....(not sure how much).

Are you arriving at the place earlier than what your contract states (for pictures)? Since the cocktail hour starts right after the ceremony what are you gonna do about pictures? Are you having someone print your envelopes (and SASE)? If so are they charging alot? I was thinking of doing myself with my computer to save some cash.

Hi ! I'm getting to WCC at 1:00 for pictures...invitation calls for 3:30, ceremony starts at 4:00. This way, between 1:00-3:00 pictures will be taken with FI, bridal party and family. When I confirmed this with WCC a while back, they it it would be OK. 4:30-5:30 is cocktail hour, 5:30-9:30 reception. I just did the envelopes myself this week on the computer. I typed in all the names and addresses on excell, and then bought a colored cartridge at Staples and printed them out. They came out beautiful! Remember to pick up the direction cards from WCC-I just did that this week, too. Who is your contact person at WCC?Mine left!! (Ed) I heard Peter was very good. Hope this helps! :-)

the invites says 6:30, ceremony starts at 7pm. Cocktail hours from 7:30-8:30 then the receptions at 8:30-12:30. Ed was my contact person too, I didn't know he left? When did he leave? I'm not sure who we are gonna work with. Is this Peter nice? How did you hear of him? I'd love to take pictures before the ceremony so I need to talk to WCC soon.Did you tell them you wanted to come at 1pm or they told you when you could come? I guess I should tell them I'd like to come there at 4pm. I picked the direction cards awhile back and to tell you the truth I've seen better ones. I'm thinking of making them myself. Doing the envelopes yourself does save lots of money so I'm gonna do that too.

Ed left in October I think...I found out through my DJ company! WCC never told me. I heard that Peter was good through someone on the board, but I've never met him. Call WCC and ask them what time is the earliest you can get there to take pictures. I want to enjoy the cocktail hour with the guests, so we are getting all the pictures done before the ceremony. I'm a bit confused about the tipping. We have a bridal attendant and the matre 'D......(I also have the DJ/MC). Any one else we're supposed to tip?? AND, How much is appropriate? THANKS!

74bride/WCC-Tipping bridal attendant/matre'D?

I'd also want to enjoy the cocktail hour that is why we'd like to take all the pictures before the ceremony. I guess that means you and your FH are gonna be seeing each other before the ceremony? I guess we are since we are gonna take pictures before the ceremony. I haven't thought about that. They also never told me about having a bridal attendant and a Matre'D, but i guess we gonna have one. I'd like to know when do we tip them and how much? Are we gonna have to be responsible for tipping them after the reception? Who have you worked with since Ed? Have you contacted the place and spoke to someone else? Who should I speak to about how early I could come to take pictures, and who my florist gonna be?
