i think you can use any type of flowers honestly, just cuz it maybe snowing outside doesnt mean you cant use calla lilies, roses, or even sunflowers inside... ive seen brides have a whole different theme. etc at their wedding... its kinda cool ... u can see some of the pics i have in my album ..under centerpiece ideas
good luck

Re: Winter brides
Thanks girls...very pretty pictures! I was thinking of using white and cream color roses...for my girls who are wearing navy dresses, don't know yet? The bride's bouquet should differ from the other girls right?? And centerpieces....I'll incorporate the flowers we finally decide to use with that

Re: Winter brides
I'm meeting with my florist soon (family friend) but for my bo-q I just want red roses and the BMs I want them to have white flowers- don't care what they are, with some winter/Christmas greens. I have also thought about putting poinsettas in my Maid and Matron of Honors bo-qs. Just like a few to make them standout amongst the other BMs.

Re: Winter brides
The plan is i get red roses with berries in them. The bridesmaids get fire and ice roses and the centerpieces will be a variety of white flowers with berries. I'm going to see the sample centerpiece (i hope it looks ok) this weekend.
These are some pics i found that my ideas are based on.
Yes, the bride's bouquet should differ and it should be larger as well.
I agree that you can basically use any flowers you like.
Other than the navy color for the dresses, are you using any other colors in your theme?

Re: Winter brides
I'm doing all roses as well. I'm going with a darker rose then Black Magic, I forgot what they are called. My church I'm doing in all white branches and red berries.

Re: Winter brides
pics in community bio, but we used red & pink roses for our 3/4/06 wedding. Roses are your best bet in the winter.
I am doing bright bright pink roses for me, and then medium pink, light pink and purplish blue roses for BMs.

Re: Winter brides
Other than the Nayv...just white I guess. It's more of a wintery snowflake theme...so just navy and white.... I'd like my bouquet to be just white. Just need to figure out how to make my girls flowers differ from my bouquet.... Great pics, thanks for posting!

Re: Winter brides
what if your bouquest was white roses with mini callalilies and the bridesmaids had smaller bouquets with just roses....? or can you add bouquet jewels?
Yes, I did plan on the jewels for mine, great idea! At least mine will stand out a bit more. So in your opinion, it doesn't matter if we all have the same color flowers, as long as mine is at least a bit bigger and somewhat a bit different, perhaps with the jewels.... I think this has made my life so much easier, I was stressing. I just want to keep it simple and I think this is the best alternative instead of incorporating too many colors... Thanks ladies for all your suggestions!
