Re: Winter brides!
I wore strappless but had a cape made...didnt even wear it since it ended up being 'warmer' out despite some rain. Plus I think my blood pressure and nerves were so high i felt hot 1/2 the time.

Re: Winter brides!
I wanted something with sleeves, but the ones i tried on were awful on me. So I went with a strapless. But I am not putting a shawl or cape on it. If we do outdoor pics, i'll suck it up for a bit.

Re: Winter brides!
I bought a satin strapless gown. I did not want anything wtih sleeves because I didnt fall in love with any of the ones I tried on, and they were also uncomfortable. I have no plans of being outside for an extended amount of time, if anything I might get a little fur shawl or something.

Re: Winter brides!
i would just watch out ... you might be REALLY warm wearing long sleeves during the reception.
i had a halter top because i hate the way sleeveless dresses always feel like they're falling off

Re: Winter brides!
I got married last December and wore a strapless dress and a faux fur wrap for outside pics. I still have it if anyone is interested in buying it. I'd be looking for somewhere around $15-$20 for it and can meet up in Suffolk or can ship it to you. FM me if you're interested.

Re: Winter brides!
I'm a November bride... so I guess late fall, early winter bride. I'm getting a jacket made to match my dress... no fur, and probably just wearing it for the church. check out my pic from when I was first trying on dresses...
I am wearing a strapless gown but with a faux fur shrug.

Re: Winter brides!
I am wearing a strapless dress for my upcoming wedding (2.5 weeks OMG!!!) but I have a shrug lined up just in case. Don't plan on wearing it at the church or reception...just figured it will be cute/functional for a few outdoor pics if need be.
Have you considered a cap sleeve dress? Not that it is entirely functional on a really cold day, but it is a happy medium between strapless and long sleeves. Very romantic look I think!
