winter floral arrangements

Does anyone have any ideas on winter Floral arrangements. I'm doing a winter wonderland theme. For the flowers i want something simple, elegant , & affordable. I had gone to Pedestals and the women kept telling that i wanted all cala lillies & orchids in my centerpieces. But that is not wintery at all. I'm lost when dealing with flowers.

I am doing winter wedding also and I am going with calla lily's, orchards and hydrangea in all white and Burgundy ......they at first wanted me to do like pine fillers but i thought that was too rustic -

but since you dont want calla lily's and orchards I guess I am of no help

what about white pointiest?

I am using black magic roses and vendela roses in my bm bo-ks. Here is my sample cp. I think it really captures the winter feeling.

I'm not fully sure but I thinking that I'll use stephanotis and snow berries (as fillers) and maybe mini calla lillies. I saw the snow berries in Martha Stewart weddings -they're so pretty.

Those black magics are gorgeous. I was also thinking about snowberries but they told me that they are hard to get in the winter. Which doesn't make sense to me.

I went to a wedding where in the center of the table, there was a woven basket with what looked like one big poinsetta....But it was really 6 small poinsettas that each woman at the table got to take home....It looked magnificent!!!

I know nothing about flowers.. You girls are speaking another language.. lol Im in for it when I do my flowers.. good thing I have friends that know there stuff or I would be screwed.. so therefore I cant help.. sorry snowbride
