I'm going to start looking for florists in a few weeks. All of my favorite flowers are polinous Spring Flowers that half of my family is allergic to, and not really available for a winter wedding anyway.
The only thing I'm settled on are gardenias.
Does anyone know what else is available? Is there a website with Winter Flowers listed?
My colors are going to be light blues and purples, and I'll throw in some white here and there.

Re: Winter Flowers
Ask the florist. I am sure they an help. Also look at this I think these are all winter flowers.
I went with bright spring colored flowers because I wanted something cheery in the room in case it was dreary outside. I worked in a florist for 3 years so I'll warn you gardenias are very expensive. Roses are usually great for winter, but if you're close to valentine's you'll pay extra for them.

Re: Winter Flowers
First off, we're date twins!
Secondly, I didn't realize gardenias were expensive. I would have thought roses were not even an option. I guess we'll see what happens when I go.
What kind of flowers are you going with? I want crisp light colors, it will match the room best. I like hydrangeas too. I could see myself going with something like this:

Simple but nice
That's beautiful. I want something small like that for the boquets and something larger like what i posted earlier for the centerpieces.
Here is the flower guide from The Knot. It shows you all of the different types of flowers and tells you when they are in season, what colors they come in and the price range.
Very handy! Take a look before you go to the florist.

Thanks, this is really great. I think I'm going to have to start printing out a bunch of that stuff so I can take it with me. I was actually not looking forward to going for the flowers and now I am!
