Winter ideas?

Winter ideas?

Anybody have some neat idea to create a 'Winter Wonderland' type of theme wedding? Being an interfaith couple, we are trying to not concentrate on just a 'Christmas' type of theme. Any ideas (as inexpensive as possible) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Use a lot of white linens -- accent with silver or pink, soft colors. You could make seat cards out of snowflake cut outs. You could dance to 'I've got my love to keep me warm'.

Give packets of gourmet hot chocholate with personlized packaging as favors.

Just few ideas...

A winter wonderland theme is a great way to go, as mentioned above. Keep your eye out at places like Joann's, Michaels, and Target for good after holiday sales. A navy, silver, and white theme would be really nice. Use the standard white linens and build on it. A good centerpiece would be large mirror tiles (check your hall, you may be able to borrow), with bowls. Float some candles and surround the bowls with fresh greens. Have fun and good luck!

These winter ideas are great. I love the hot coco idea! Way to go! If you want to add a bit more to the favor how about a mug with 2 packets of coco. You could buy plain with mugs and write on them with a permant marker. Get someone who has nice hand writing to do it for you. You could write your names and wedding date on the mug and make a cute lable for the coco. I too would definately stick with the snow, snowflake and snowman/woman theme due to the fact that you are an interfaith couple. I'd also check out martha stewarts webstie b/c the generally have a lot of good ideas around that time of year.

When and where are you getting married? I too am part of an interfaith couple. Who is marrying you guys? I'd love to find out. Please share as much as possible.

We are getting Married July 4th, 2002 at the Riviera of Massapequa. Good luck with everything.

Hi!
I am getting married December 13, 2002. The ceremony will be at the Historical Chapel in Woodbury and the reception at Stewart Manor Country Club. Right now, we're not exactly sure who's marrying us. I think we're going to go with Rev. April, who is provided by the chapel. After careful discussions with her via email, I am fully comfortable with her marrying us and making it a nondenominational type of ceremony, while preserving certain traditions (huppah, breaking of glass, unity candle, etc.) She will wear a robe unadorned in religious symbols as well.

Where is your ceremony going to be? At the Riviera? Who is marrying you?

Yes, I'm getting married at the Riviera of Massapequa next July. As for who is marrying us, I'm still working on that. We are going to get married at the Riviera in the outdoor gazebo they have of course weather permitting. As for the official who is preforming the ceremony, I've got 2 phone numbers of people that I have to call. They are both neutral parties once I've met with them, I'd be more than happy to share the information with you. I too am looking to have some traditional things like the breaking of the glass and the lighting of the unity candle. Let me know what other traditions you are considering.

Thanks for your help!

Honestly - that's really it on the traditional aspect. We're both not really religious people, but those are the things that we really wanted to incorporate.

So who are the neutral parties you're considering. We had a really tough time with the title 'Reverend'. We weren't quite sure what it meant or represented. Now that we know (after researching it), we are much more comfortable with it. Are the officiants you're considering reverends?

By the way - a July 4th wedding - are you having any fireworks??
