I like it! It's very dramatic. Is it a jacket over a dress or is it one piece? The only thing I'd be concerned about is how warm you might be at your reception (even in December).

I'm a winter bride too...LOVE your choice. I wanted one like it but was too concerned of how warm I would be, esp if nervous. Otherwise I would have went with a similar choice.

Oh its an A line strap less under. You have the option of purchasing the coat.
Of course I got the coat need something to cover myself.

It's beautiful.....Don't even be concerned if others like it or not....you're the bride, not them!!! They can wear (or already had the chance) to wear what they want when it's their turn!!!!!

this is my exact thought...its a beautiful gown...but you might get to warm during the reception.

Well I love the simplicity, the clean cut etc and I think my tiara would look beautiful with it. (Ill post pictures later of it)
But my Mom and Grandmother etc what beads and pearls and sequence and thats not me!
Wait till I tell them I think Im not going to use the veil that I got already! I dont think its a dress that goes with a veil.
unless I use the veil for the ceremony only. I figure I just want the coat to arrive at the ceremony take it off and then just use the coat when we leave.
I guess im copying Grace from Will & Grace. I loved the dress and coat she wore for her wedding.
Hmm lots to think about.

I love the dress. It's simple, but makes a statement. I really think it's a beautiful dress. I wanted a winter wedding and was going for that look, also.

It looks fine for a winter wedding!! I know the pressures of wanting to please mom and grandma but they have to understand it's your wedding and this time you're the bride. But not to anger them too much, I'd do something else for them to kinda make up for it. It would be nice to see the top of the dress under the jacket tho, have any pics of that? So far it looks very simple, which is classy and nice. Your jewelry and crown will dress it up with all the flair that your mom and grandma are looking for.

If that's a coat over the dress...I think it's absolutely stunning. I would love to see a pic of just the dress too.
