My wedding is set for December of this year, and I'm having trouble finding a first look/photo location that has both indoor and outdoor options in Nassau county (preferably on the north shore so that it's close to the hotel and the venue). I've already checked with Chelsea Mansion (there's a hold on it AND it's decorated for Christmas - since we're having a Jewish wedding, I'm trying to avoid Christmas decorations as best I can) and with the Planting Fields Arboretum (I'm concerned about not being able to do pictures inside the greenhouse).
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!!!

I'm also getting married in December....we were originally going to take pictures at Grand Central, but then I decided it was too much so we're just going to take them at the venue. Is that a option for you?

I'm in the same boat as well! Looking for places in the Smithtown area near the Watermill... I live in Riverhead so have no clue what's up that way!!
gobananas - there are some vineyards in Jamesport which is less than 10 mins from Riverhead... also beaches on the north shore, there is one nice beach with a gazebo. What are you looking for? (gardens, beaches, park, etc)

Winter Wedding Photo Location Help!
We're getting married in the beginning of March, so nothing will be in bloom yet. I'm having a hard time thinking of where to take pictures before the wedding in Westbury.

I got married in December and we took pictures at Sunken Meadow State Park. The pictures turned out great. You can see some pictures on my shutterfly account at

Hope that helps!

Maybe the St. Ignatius Jesuit retreat house in Manhasset? It's a big beautiful mansion and nothing about the outside looks very religious.
