winter wedding photo locations???

So, I have a bit of a dilema... I really want to take photos someplace outside of my wedding hall (Sandcastle in Franklin Square) Problem is that my wedding is in January. Does anyone have any suggestions? Everyone suggests Westbury Gardens, but I looked online, and I am not a fan. I can deal with the cold outdoors or with something indoors. The other factor to consider is that it cannot be too far away...I know, I know, I'm asking for too much LOL.

winter wedding photo locations???

I have the same exact problem lol I'm getting married at a church in Inwood, NY in the 5 towns and then our reception is at Sand Castle and I have NO idea where to go for outdoor pics but I really want them. Also since the mass is at 2:30, I am hoping we have at least some daylight left to even take outdoor pics. If I think of something I will let you know!

I actually pushed my mass up from 3 to 2:30 since my photographer suggested we could get better lighting that way.

winter wedding photo locations???

Maybe check Queens Country Farm Museam or Nassau Country Museam of Art?

We aren't doing offsite pictures. By the time we got anywhere it would be too dark out. And, personnally I didnt sweat it because I really want the photographer to capture the moment of the day so I didnt care too much about having posed or semi posed pictures off site.
