Is there anywhere else that you can recommend to get married other than the church or the reception location?

Re: Winter weddings
I might say you could try a museum or something but the costs may get so high it wouldn't be worth it. Interesting question tho...my only option was a church bc FH insisted so I didn't think about this.

Re: Winter weddings
That was what I was thinking but the reason for a winter wedding is the budget, so I am looking for inexpensive ideas. I wish I could have it outdoors....but my guests would kill me

Re: Winter weddings
I looked into this a lot. I'm getting married at the hall, but there is the Historical Chapel (doesn't hold enough people for us) and the CW Post Interfaith chapel (closed on our date). Molloy, Hofstra, and NCC all did NOT have anyplace we cold use for a ceremony.
What area are you looking for? THere's the Nassau Cty Museum of Art (but I am not sure if they do indoor ceremonies). I looked mostly on the south shore in Nassau.
Good luck!

I open to all suggestions...I live in Nassau. And I'm either booking in Nassau or Queens.

you could even have your ceremony at home....or a relative's home. an officiant would go there.

There's the Musuem of Aviation in Uniondale. Also Atlantica in Riverhead.
