Wisdom Teeth

They hurt so bad!!!!!!!! My dentist said there's a 50/50 chance I may need them out but we should 'wait and see' first. In a second I am going to perform an extraction here at my desk!!!!!!

Re: Wisdom Teeth

I got all mine out-two at a time.
Being put out was the best and I highly recommend it when you get it done.
I woke up hysterical laughing and they asked me if I wanted to keep my teeth they just pulled out. It was really funny...and I kept them :)
Do you want to get them out? I would go for it while you are younger.

Re: Wisdom Teeth

I had mine out a few years ago, and it was such a great decision. They knocked me out and it was alll over! I was a little swollen for a few days, but much better than being in pain

Re: Wisdom Teeth

My wisdom teeth use to hurt me any time I ate. I couldn't take it any more so I had all four removed last summer and I am so happy I did. I think you should wait it out (don't do it if you don't have to) but this is something you don't want to bother you as it gets closer to you wedding.

Re: Wisdom Teeth

I had two out last summer and the other two out over the winter. If they bother you at all i high recommend that you have them taken out. I am such a big chicken that when I went to get them out I had to be put to sleep but, it was the first time I had ever gotten a needle with out someone holding my hand...yes at 23 years old and the Dr. said my heart was pounding out of controle and kept asking if I wanted him to get someone for me Once the needle was in I was fast a sleep, work up feeling kinda drunk. It took about 4 days to fully recover for me.

Re: Wisdom Teeth

WHATTTTTT you girls actually GOT YOURS? The first time I got one out, I got in a fight with the nurse (while i was still half out of it...drugged up..screaming) b/c I wanted my tooth. I claimed it was my tooth...and she's all like 'I can lose my job' and 'its a health hazaard'. My dad had to calm me down.

Re: Wisdom Teeth

I got all four of mine out in one shot a few years ago. The worst part for me was the needle for the anesthesia

When I woke from my coma, it felt like it was only 5 minutes later. Obviously it was really like an hour later. But I was in such a daze and my mom was laughing at me, so I gave her the finger! The one and only time I've ever given my mom the finger

I spent the weekend at my mom's apartment, and FH came over every day. He bought me Shrek and Shrek 2 on dvd (this was before the last one came out) and he brought a whole bunch of other movies. I did nothing all weekend except watch movies and eat ice cream, pudding, jello, and pastina.

I was back at work on Monday.

I recommend just getting it over with. You'll feel soooooooooo much better.

OMG, me too. I got so tired of the pain and went to the dentist, but I have to wait until August 7th to see the oral surgeon.

Hope the pain stops, I feel your pain. I remember not being able to eat and I was just sooo sad.

Re: Wisdom Teeth

I got mine removed 1 week before my sister's wedding, I did two on one side, and the following week two on the other.

Def get rid of them, bc they are only going to cause you pain. I suggest doing what I did which was to have two removed in Dec and two removed in Jan, that way insurance covers it and you wont spent tons of $$$$
Good Luck

Re: Wisdom Teeth

FH has had all 4 removed. he only got to keep 2 because they others where so rotted out that they broke up when they pulled them. he had a super infection prior to the procedure.

i just found out that i have to have one pulled but am waiting to get dental insurance. i am going in September because my dad is afraid that it may get infected & doesn't want anything going wrong closer to the wedding. (my dad used to make false teeth so he has lots of experience when it comes to teeth)

does insurance pay for the procedure?
