You teachers will understand my anxiety about this...
I'm having my first observation by my department chair on friday! I'm a little nervous because this is my first year at this school and my first observation as a full-time, tenure-track teacher! So it's a lot of pressure. I meet with her tomorrow morning for a pre-observation meeting to discuss the lesson and then she is going to come in and observe on Friday....

thank you all for all of the suggestions!!! it's great to have such an easy teacher resource!!! think happy thoughts for me tomorrow 8th period! i think that falls around 1:40...

Oooo, good luck! I was observed yesterday, and I just acted as if the principal wasn't there. It went GREAT! Afterwards when we had our meeting, she told me that she would love to give me some advice.....but she didn't think I needed any So just be yourself, be confident and forget that there's someone else there

Good luck!! YOu will do great - a few of my BM are teachers so I know how you must feel - be confident in yourself!!
