I interviewed with your company once and they ended up filling the job with someone from within. I had gone through a friend's relative so he told me that they like to fill positions from within.

So sorry to hear that. Imagine if we worked together? Oh boy...

We're on a hriing freeze right now, so they won't 'add' to the headcount, but they'll 'replace' for headcount by hiring internally.
