Re: Wishing Well Gift?
I like to put a few packs of thank you cards in the well for the bride. Someone did that for me and it was great, I didn't have to go out and buy them!!

Re: Wishing Well Gift?
Question: Is the wishing well gift supposed to be anonymous, or do you include a card and sign your name?

Re: Wishing Well Gift?
I usually put things like an ice cream scooper, detergent, sponges. Wishing well gifts are my favorite part of a shower. Some really neat things come from there. I wonder if there will be a wishing well at my shower. I went to one last weekend that didn't have one.

Re: Wishing Well Gift?
Here are some of the many things that I got in mine: oven mits, measuring spoons, lobster crackers, garlic press, spatulas, peeler, kitchen towels, straw mats to put hot pots on, whisk, can opener, zester, bottle opener, wine key, ice cream scoop, apple divider, grip jar opener, small kitchen timer, melon scooper, measuring cups, meat thermometer,
Basically anything small and needed for everyday is a great wishing well gift.
Some people put together little packages like Oven mitt - then filled it with a few small things.

Re: Wishing Well Gift?
I got shafted. No wishing well for me.
My mom ALWAYS used to say how much she loved wishing wells. When I first got engaged, I didn't even know what that was until she told me. Then, I told her that I thought it sounded like a nice idea.
So, I assumed she would have one at my shower. So, I registered for all of the kitchen items as separate items, figuring they'd be purchased for the wishing well.
But, since there was no wishing well, barely ANY of the kitchen gadgets were purchased

Re: Wishing Well Gift?
I usually go to Michael's and they have mini cookbooks. I tie 2 or 3 of them together with ribbon and put them in.

Re: Wishing Well Gift?
Many of my young friends didn't even know what a wishing well was so I didn't get anything from them. My favorite wishing well gifts were Kitchen Towels Cleaning Products (paper towels, cleaning fluid etc) Ice Cream scooper Measuring Cups
