with all this talk about atlantica closing.. what happens...?
With all this talk about atlantica closing got me thinking, what happens if YOUR hall closes? you've put down your deposit (obv) and started making payments... now your hall closes... do you get your money back? my mother brought this up back when we booked our hall, my father is making payments every 3 months, my hall only required $300 every 4 months, but he's putting down $600 every 3 months. It makes me nervous to think this way, but the reality is the economy is still struggling and there's a chance more halls could close (I know- SCARY). So I was just curious, I doubt my hall will close, but what if?

What place did you book? If it's one that is well known you are probably safe if they do a lot of business.

I'd prefer not to say where I'm booked.. you know, stalkers.
But I was just asking in general. My hall has been around a LONG time and I doubt they'll go under.. I'm just curious as to what happens IF they do.

I actually asked the first RH I saw about this, and they laughed at me and snootily said 'We aren't closing anytime soon!'

When FH and I booked our reception hall we brought up this question. Our banquet manager replied that they are a very reputable business and that they own numerous properties. She replied that in the event this happened, there was always the option to sue.
