how does it exactly work? The reason why I ask is because there is a post on this board about placing registry cards in shower invites...whether it is tackty or not? According to most of you, its not, but you girls say its tacky to put them with the invites..and although etiquitte says no...I feel I am forced to did it that way..(long story) but now I feel down because you girls are postin gon the other board that it is tacky...
Here is my question..when you have a shower..is everyone on ur guest list invited?? and who plans the shower?

It's not tacky to put it in a shower invite, it's tacky to put it into a wedding invitation!

I live in FL, getting married in NY where FH is from and FIL's live. Their guest list is 70+. I am having a shower in FL, where my mom & 3 bridesmaids live (they are throwing it). I am inviting OOT'ers so they'll send gifts here, so we don't have them to tote back to FL from the wedding. HTH

Usually mob and moh plan the shower, you invite of course the bp (girls only) and your close family and friends that are also women. You can do a shower at your house ( I at the moment forget why you arent having a shower) but really ignore etiquette. I agree I am one of those people that would prefer it in the invite b/c most likely I will mis place it along the line. Ignore etiquette, youdo what you want to do-besides most will realize that you didnt have a shower and that is why you are sending them with the invitiations

For my bridal shower I DEFINATELY want it included in the invite, hey we register for a reason?? But for wedding I am not including bc I want $$ hahah oops who said that?? Sorry it's the truth I want $$$need to make bac k all the money spent!
ur funny...
So me and MOH (sister) were discussing this last night..because I was really stressing it. And we agreed to place them with our wedding invites.. Alot of my family members have no clue what is proper for a wedding...(we have not had many big weddings in our family) so they wouldnt know that its not proper to include registry info with the invite lol...but thanks girls for all the opinions. Peggie, just to refresh ur memory..the reason why I am not having a bridal shower is because both our families are spread all around NY..and they will prob. not come to the shower...I feel it will be a waste of money and time...just bring all my presents to the wedding

I think the wedding website is a great idea. You can create the website and put your registration info on that and then include the wedding website address in the invitations.
