WITH FEEDING VENDORS ...IF THEY DIDNT ASK DO I DO THE RIGHT THING

AND OFFER ?? MY PHOTOGRAPHER HAD A SECTION IN THE CONTRACT IF I WOULD SUPPLY THEM A MEAL..BUT MY VIDEOGRAPHER DIDNT??

None of our vendors asked, but we fed the band members, photographers and videographer.

we asked all of our vendors straight up about meals, video/photo said yes, DJ/MC said no they will snack during cocktail hour

Think you have to feed them but This has always been the topic that bothers me... not to sound cheap but they are not doing us a favor by showing up to our wedding. They are providing a PAID service. I dont get a paid meal when I show up for work. And its not like we are not paying them big bucks!

I would definitely ask. Our band actually told us it would be a waste of our money to feed them. Most of them will eat before they get there.

I feel the same way. Between feeding and tipping- they have a good gig! That's what I'm going to do in my next life....

absolutley- they are working 8+ plus hours... i think a meal is the right thing to do..

I didn't notice it was in any of our contracts but we did feed the Band (9 people) and the Photographer/Video (3 people). This was worked out with the Watermill.

I am just automatically doing it- but then again, I don't have a band. I understand that you are paying them for the wedding, but for the hall to give them food, the hall has to get paid, and it might be a little weird for them to give the hall $$ the day of your wedding so they can eat.

I think it's the nice thing to do, plus with people like photo/video, you get the product afterwards-I'd want to keep them happy!

I agree. I also think people work better on a full stomach! You don't necessarily have to feed them the same thing your guests are eating. Maybe your RH has an alternative?

Im going to ask my vendors if they are going to eat...this way I know whether or not to include them in the head count

None of my vendors included it in the contract, but I am going to feed them. I want to be dealing with happy vendors. Plus, if I go over the minimum they are half price. Woo Hoo, what a break!

I agree. Plus remember that you don't have to pay for every vendor to eat, if you get one of their house vendors then they are eating for free
