My FSIL tells me that she didn't 'realize' she was still doing a reading for our wedding...Although we talked about getting together in August to pick possible readings...I don't get it! I think the realization has set in that she will have to speak in front of a large group of people.....FH and I are just really annoyed at this point and feel it might be too late to ask someone else...
Thanks for letting me vent. I know in the grand scheme of things this isn't SUCH a big deal, however, we are a little hurt that she doens't want have a part in our wedding.
P.S. We did ask her to be a BM, she declined and that's when we asked her to do a reading.

I am sorry to hear about this. You don't need additional stress right now. As for the reading, if she doesn't want to do it, it isn't too late to ask someone else. I am sure someone else would be honored to do it!

My Sister in law was asked to do a reading she said yes then at the last min. she said no.... i was very UPSET! It was like a week before the wedding we just asked someone else it all worked out.. but at that given moment i was SO upset!

It's not to late to find someone else. For my brother's wedding I think i was told the week before. I said I'm doing a reading and sil said didn't your brother tell you awhile ago :) I'm like no, but did the reading. Who cares when yu are asked. Someone will definately to it

It's not too late. In fact, our friend wasn't even able to make the wedding when she was supposed to do a reading. We decided to have the other friend do both readings. (Since all of our people were coming from OOT, we didn't want to inconvenience travel plans to get there for the rehearsal for a new person.) But you still have time to ask someone else. Just ask her if she'd rather not do it.

I know you are up set that she isn't going to be a part of the wedding but it really isn't too late to ask someone to do a reading. My FH just ask his friend last week and my wedding is next sunday.
Have you tried telling her that you really want her to take part in your wedding in some way?
