alter this dress a bit... I really love it, but I kinda dont like the halter part. I do like straps though, and I was thinking I can unhook the back and then make the halter part straps. Im not worried about the alteration, but how do you think it would look? Please be honest...I think it could be the one if I can work it out. Thanks girls!
The dress is beautiful and I think with the right seamstress she can make it to what you want. I would definetly bring a picture of the dress to the place before you buy it.

Re: With pix- do you think I can
I think it's a good idea, my only fear is b/c it has such a low cut in the front, the straps will be more seperated as they go up only b/c ov the placement on your shoulders, it might make it look lower that it is.
Otherwise I think its a good idea!

As long as you think that the two straps rather than the halterwould give you enough support, I say go for it. Either way the dress is gorgeous!

Gorgeous dress! Adding straps would look wonderful. I think spagetti straps would look great!

The straps would be the ones that are going around my neck...so there going to be the width of what you see on the halter. Too much?

i love the dress and I think that alteration would look fine. I had my mom alter a reg dress that I had from halter to straps and it was fine. I def think it would work
You def need a great seamstress. The fact that the top is a halter it is cut a little deeper in the cleavage area. If you just attached it to the back your boobs would fall out. Sounds funny but I don't know any other way to describe it!

It's a beautiful dress. I would show a picture to a seamstress before deciding if that is what you really want to do!

I was going to go to Phyliss and have it altered. I hope shes a good semstress! I tried it on and took down the straps myself and the boobs werent flying. I think the picture shows more then I actually have. I would be quite the bride if I had them hangin out all over the place.
