Today is officially 3 weeks to the wedding and last night I found out my brother has testicular cancer. We arent sure of much else yet. He has alot more test today. in the year and 6 months since I have been engaged we have delt with so much ( my son got diagnosed with Lymes I got sick etc) I just hope we have enough strength left to pull through for my brother and His wife and daughters. Thank god they already have the two gorgeous childrent hey wanted and not having more isnt an isuue ( they dont want more) but I wish there was more I could do to help them through this . Thank you for listening ladies.

UPDATE*********************

The PET scan is negative except for the one tumor....IT HAS NOT SPREAD Thank GOD !!!!!!!!! I am so glad his wife has the pull she does and all his test are being done and read asap.

I am sorry to hear about your brother. Theres a lot of advances with cancer today...i will be praying for him and you too. Just a take a deep breath, one day at a time..

Kelly, my prayers are with you and your brother and the rest of your family. Unfortunately in life, we are given obstacles and for some reason, they always seem to happen at the worst times. Really though, there is never a good time. What also is unfortunate, is that we cannot change or do anything to fix some of these problems. The best thing you can do for your brother is just to be there for him - which it sounds like you definitely are! Wait and see how the tests come back...Many cancers ARE treatable and totally dealable! They already have vaccinations for certain types so keep your hopes up and try not to worry too much until you know ALL of the results and ALL of the details. I wish you the best of luck and try to keep some enthusiasm with your wedding - which is a once in a lifetime deal.
