This guy was trying so hard to convince me into giving him personal info on the phone. I asked for a number to call him back at and all he did was hang up on me !!!!!!! Real nice of him ! I don't trust anyone that calls here and says that they want my personal information !

It is! But there are loads of scams!
This is a true story... - lady is selling a rug on ebay for $300. A guy buys it and sends her a Bank check for $3000 instead of $300. She calls and tells him; he tells her it's a mistake the teller at his bank made (uh yeah right.. that teller wouldn't of proved out their cash box that night). He tells her to take it to her bank, cash it, take the 300 he owes her out and send him the remainng 2700. So she comes into the bank, stops at a CSR desk and starts talking about it. The lady totally believed him and really wanted to cash the check and send him the money. When the CSR looked at the check she realized it was a fraudelant check. This guy was just trying to get this lady to cash a fake check so she could get the rap for it and be out the 3000 for the check (well really 2700 that she would have sent him). He was getting someone else to do his dirty work. Disgusting! I see things like this ALL THE TIME!

When I used to work at a bank, we used to see this stuff all the time...its very sad!

OMG that is so horrible!!! I really hope you won something and this isnt a joke! That is why I erased all of my personal information and my cell phone number off of this website. When I used to have my cell # on here thinking that LIW was the only one who had it.... I got calls 24/7 NON-STOP!!!!!!!! I would even get calls at like 8:45PM... its ridiculous!!!!!!!!! This site does not do a good job protecting us!

Please keep us updated and let us know if you really did win. If not, I'd take your number off this site.... bc if they called you once, someone else can call you again...... protect yourselves!

Ha ha ha! I work for a bank and that's how I knew about it. I don't work in a branch anymore; I work in the Training Dept.. but we still hear all the stories from security.
