wondering if anyone is thinking of getting Flu Shot.

I am in my 27th week and was thinking of getting Flu shot I am going to discuss with doctor tommorow. Wondering if anyone else has gotten it while preggo? or is anyone thinking of getting it?

I'm going to ask my doctor about this too because I always end up with the flu especially since I work with children...but I'm glad you posted this...I'm curious to see what others post

My company offers them and it says in the email they won't give to anyone that is pregnant!

I thought I read somewhere that it is good to get the shot when you are pregnant. I will have to ask my doctor when I see her on Friday.

My ob suggested I get one, because I worked in a pediatric ICU, where at the time there were multiple patients admitted with the flu ( I was not providing direct care to them). I received the flu vaccine and thankfully I did not contract the flu. Its safe AFTER the 2nd trimester.
