WOO HOO!!! It's my last week at this job!!!!

Last week, after months of frustration here, and the long commute to work in lower Manhattan (I now live in PA)...I decided to make a change and will be leaving after 8 years.

I will now be looking for a new job in PA...so girls wish me some luck!!!!

This is so unlike me to just quit...but, it's been a long time coming and I'm so glad I finally did it!!!

It was actually the commute together with the knot in my stomach I had every day going to work...that I just couldn't stand it anymore. I would still say that the commute isn't that bad...as long as I worked somewhere I didn't HATE.

Good luck! It is truly far more important to leave a job that is practically making you sick, rather than to stick it out and be miserable

I definately understand that feeling.... I have had many jobs I hated where a 10 minute commute would have been too long....

I've sent out a couple resumes...but haven't heard anything back yet. I also have a few connections to some companies very close to where I live...but they want to wait until I'm officially out of my company before they submit my resume to this new company.

Two of these companies are only 5 minutes away from my house...how incredible would that be?!?!?!?

I can only imagine the hell that was your commute. One of my supervisors here in midtown does it from the Poconos - she dreads weekends and bad weather.

What towns do you go to for jobs? Sometimes DH mentions that area but I work in NYC too - I have no idea where you look

The towns I would consider working in are Allentown, Easton or Bethlehem.
