We just moved into our new home, how do I clean the wood floors? I am not liking these floors, I need to mop them somehow, what do I use?

I use vinegar, and they come out so shiny. Takes the dirt off too.

I dont use any water. I use straight vinegar. It smells for only a few hours. But then I go over with a towel after I mop so there are so streak marks.

When we had our wood floors refinished they told us Swiffer was a big no no and cuts the life of your floor in half. I use water and vinegar.

When you say the Swiffer is a no no, I'm guessing you mean just the wet version right? I can't see how the dry one would do damage...

Dry swiffer is fine just not the wet.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but you mean 'white vinegar' right?
