I am down to picking between these two as a final choice for my RH. We're going with my parents and FPIL to see both locations next weekend but I wanted to hear it from you guys first.. The good, the bad, and the ugly!!
Have you been to either of these and if so.. what was the best part? worst part?
Thanksss!!

Re: Woodbury CC vs. Chateau Briand
First of all, YAY!!!!
Second, I have been to 2 weddings at Woodbury. One in the winter and the other in the spring. The wedding in the spring stuck out in my mind bc the cocktail hour was by the pool and it was beautiful. I also heard they have remodeled so i do not know what it looks like anymore but back when I went to those weddings, I liked the top room better because of all of the windows.

Re: Woodbury CC vs. Chateau Briand
I'm partial to WCC because I'm having my wedding there, but CB is a staple in weddings and they've been around forever so I really feel like you can't go wrong.
The one thing that sealed the deal for me was the tasting -- I wanted to taste the food at the RH before I booked to make sure it was good.. out of the ones I was picking, WCC had no issues, the others either wanted me to pay for it at their restaurant (FH), or wouldn't do it until the menu tasting or told me to go to a showcase..
Good luck!!

I rather WCC, i went to two weddings there before and that was one of my choices when i was looking for a RH. I went to Chateau Briand as well but the price was too high and they were not trying to negotiate. They are both beautiful RH but I like Woodbury much bette, the location and the scenery is better.

Re: Woodbury CC vs. Chateau Briand
I say Woodbury CC but not just because I am having my wedding there. I have been to CB for both weddings and new years eve. Every time I go there, I feel claustrophobic in all of their rooms. There are no windows in any of the rooms. Also, Woodbury CC has WAY better food and has more beautiful grounds.

Re: Woodbury CC vs. Chateau Briand
From what I can tell so far from my excursions... they seem to be in the same price range. We loved the fall ceremony area for good weather. Its like getting married on a dock. We loved the summer cocktail hour area. Main thing I didn't like about WBCC is the lounge furniture they had out. It would have been very nice if they were not dirty/ripped (they are white) and if you want matching pillows you have to buy your own. We haven't taken a tour of CB yet so I can't really comment on that.

You don't need to use the lounge furniture and its not always included in what you are doing -- its an add on or at least was for us since we were not haing our ceremony there.
Also, they just got tons of new furniture in for their lounge so I'm not sure what you saw when you went to see it but if it was dirty and ripped then I'd def ask them about it because that is unacceptable IMO!!

Re: Woodbury CC vs. Chateau Briand
I wasn't really too overly concerned to ask... overall the place just wasnt for us
