Has anyone been to a wedding at this venue, booked it or planning to have their wedding at Woodbury Country Club? I would love to hear your feedback as my fiance and I are torn between a couple of venues we visited.
Thanks!

Woodbury Country Club
Haven't been to WCC in a long time (wedding was in 2004, I think?). We spoke with Anthony on the phone, and he gave us a quote of $80pp++ for a Friday night in March. Minimum 125, I think. I don't know what room he was talking about there.
Are you torn in terms of price?

when i went, i was turned off by the fact that we would have to have the smaller room and not get the pool pix/ etc. the pricing wasnt great, but they seemed negotiable.

Re: Woodbury Country Club
Hi!
My FH and I really like the Woodbury Country Club. The space is great, the bathrooms are nice and clean and the outdoor for the ceremony is nice as well. What we are concerned with is the price and the extras they keep charging us. It's like they are not willing to budge or throw something in.
For example, we want chair covers put on to the chairs because we feel the chairs looked dated and just doesn't give off a modern vibe in the Banquet Hall. If we don't go with the chair covers, they offered to let us switch the chairs from the cocktail hour room, to the reception/banquet room for a fee as well. I mean I feel they could at least not charge us for the switcheroo of the chairs. They won't even let us bring an outside cake in. And when we told them we didn't want pork, they were not willing to substitute the food we took off the menu, like a vegan dish or something. I just feel overall they are not really willing to work with us. So I'm curious how others felt with them.
But the BM is very nice and soo cool but I guess it has to feel 100% right for us to put down that deposit.
We are heading to other venues this weekend! I'm trying to lock in a venue before this month is over!

We're booked at WCC. FH and I went to 13 venues. None of them clicked, either he liked it and I hated it or I loved it and it wasn't his thing. WCC was our 12th and when we walked in we just looked at eachother and knew it was the one for us. We loved the South Beachy feel of the outside and like the downstairs room a lot. They just renovated it and we love it even more. We were also able to negotiate a pretty reasonable price for all of the things we wanted. We've been to a couple of showcases since signing and each time we get more excited for July! If you have any specific questions just FM me and I will try to answer them.

I went to a wedding there in 2009 and still say it was the best wedding food I've had.

I went to a wedding there and thought the amount of ppl they had in the room was dangerous. We were stuffed in like sardines. Food was good and outside would have been good if it weren't raining. I was just shocked how they could have told the couple the room holds that many bc it was so hard to move around.

went there but didn't like how you walk through this plastic like tarp to go to cocktail hour and it was ripped and then taped up with clear making tape...ridiculous. They make enough money I'm sure to just buy new and discard ripped material. When I asked them about it they didn't tell me they would change it so we left. I did think the outside area was pretty after I walked through the unly feature.

If you are interested, you should definitely negotiate the price down. About a week after I went there to look, I got a call about a 'recent price reduction.' The guy came off like a used car salesmen to me and my family, but you don't make a decision based on the salesman.

Yes I'm noticing that as well as we deal with the BM. I just don't want to budge until I feel the price is right! LOL Thanks for the tip!

Oh wow! The only issue we had was the chairs in the banquet room. It looked a little old school.

The lobby looks nice! It felt like a home more than a venue. So that's one of the reason my FH and I liked it. And the piano was also a nice touch.

FBIL got married there and it was a great party.... personally, i didn't want a venue with more than one wedding. They got married in December, however, if it was a summer wedding that outside area would be amazing and i would have a nice party there in the summer if the opportunity arose...for my wedding i just wanted something different!!
the food was good and the service for the bridal party was great! they were accommodating too for me because i was sick the entire night! :( but it was a great time.
however, i do know that they came in about 60 people under their minimum...they wouldn't throw in anything extra for them in place and they paid for those 60 empty spots and didn't get any of those 60 plates to take home and were quite upset about it because they were told they would but never ended up happening!
